Placement is mandatory and must be completed by March 6, 2026 to enroll for Spring Quarter.

If you are a new BBCC student, placement in English and math are not only required, they are an important step to ensure you are in classes that are best for you. 

To get your placement evaluation, you will need:

  • Your BBCC student ID (included in your BBCC Welcome email)
  • Your high school transcript(s), if less than 10 years since graduating OR
  • A copy of your GED, SBAC, SAT, or ACT English and/or math scores with your full name included on the documentation

Once you have submitted all required information, BBCC staff will determine your official English and/or math placement, email you instructions on how to view your results, and information about alternative placement options, if necessary. Please allow 5-7 business days for processing.

Need Other Testing Services?

The following testing services are available in the Testing Center (by appointment only):

BBCC offers in-person proctoring of CLEP exams at the BBCC Testing Center.
Non-refundable Proctor Fee: $25

Please visit the CLEP College Board test scheduling webpage to register and pay for your exam (separate from the proctor fee) with College Board before scheduling an appointment with the Testing Center.

The TEAS test is offered in person at the BBCC Testing Center.

Non-refundable Proctor Fee: $25

BBCC requires a minimum of 90 days between tests for a retake to be considered. This policy aligns with ATI’s best practice recommendation for no more than 3 attempts in a 6-month period.

GED TESTING

GED Testing is provided online at GED.com 

Adults aged 18 and older, without a high school diploma, can take the GED exam series.  Students must register, pay fees and schedule the testing online at GED.com. The exam is made up of 4 tests, $36.00 each in Washington state.

PREPARATION CLASSES ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 

Go to www.MyGED.com to set up your account to get started. Once you have set up an account, you can:

  • Practice tests
  • Schedule tests, reschedule or cancel if needed 
  • Pay for the tests 
  • Check your scores 
  • Change your profile information. 
  • You may also register by calling the Call Center at (877) 392-6433.

You will need a credit card, debit or pre-paid debit card or voucher number to schedule.  
Photo ID required for the test.

If you are a BBCC student and need accommodations for a test, please email your request to BBCC Accommodation & Accessibility Services at aas@bigbend.edu 1-2 business days in advance of your test date/time. Please include your name, student ID, class information (including class meeting date and time), and instructor name in your email. BBCC accommodations are available at no cost.

It is the student’s responsibility to contact their instructor to have exam materials, including special instructions, sent to the BBCC Accommodation & Accessibility Services Department at aas@bigbend.edu. Exam materials must be provided before the test appointment.

Students must provide photo identification to the test proctor before they can start the test.
